The regular menstrual period lasts from 2-7 days and the normal cycle ranges from 21-35 days. With amazing benefits, cinnamon can act as a boon for your periods. Crush a cinnamon stick and stir well in a cup of hot water. Allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes and then add in your favorite tea bag (Ginger, Chamomile, etc.) for 2-3 minutes. Add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it. For great results, consume it on a daily basis.


Ginger not only treats your cold & cough but also prevents irregular periods. It helps in boosting the menstrual flow and relieves the pain. Boil a ½ tablespoon of grounded ginger in 1 cup of water and let it boil for 5-10 minutes. Honey can be added to enhance the taste. Strain the fusion and consume it thrice a day after the meals. Continue it for a month.


Carrot is a rich source of iron and helps in regulating the proper functioning of hormone. Gulp down a glass of carrot juice every day for 3 months to regularize your menstrual cycle.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps in producing estrogen that constructs the uterine lining (handles the periods). Include rich sources of Vitamin C such as oranges, tomatoes, berries, apples, etc. in your diet.


Turmeric contains excellent properties that help our skin & body in many ways and because it contains anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties it also decreases the pain. Combine 1 quarter teaspoon of turmeric with a teaspoon of honey, lukewarm milk and a small piece of jaggery. Mix all the ingredients in a cup and stir well. Ingest this mixture on a daily basis.


Asafoetida is one of the most popular ingredient after turmeric which contains amazing medicinal properties. It helps in treating the hormonal disorder due to its chemical compounds. Fry 200-250 mg in clarified butter and allow it to cool. Add a tablespoon of honey with goat milk and consume it instantly.
