Purvakarma or Pre-karma is the prep up for the Panchakarma treatment and if not administered to perfection, it can hinder its effectiveness.

What is Snehana?
A therapy that involves the use of medicated oil of treatment. This oil therapy has two parts:

- The second part of the session is a medicated oil massage. This enables the blood to receive all medicinal components of the oil through skin absorption.
What is Swedhana?
This therapy begins after Snehanam. In this, the body is heated using steam bath session to facilitate sweating. Depending on the requirement, the entire body or specific parts are heated.
