WHAT ARE MICRODERMABRASION TREATMENTS?
Microdermabrasion treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin,
removing the thicker,uneven outer layer.
This type of skin rejuvenation is used to treat light scarring, discoloration, sun damage & stretch marks.
- Improve age spots and black heads.
- Improve hyperpigmentation (patches of darkened skin).
- Exfoliate your skin, resulting in a refreshed appearance.
- Lessen the appearance of stretch marks.
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Reduce or eliminate enlarged pores.
- Treat acne and the scars left by acne.
Microdermabrasion helps to thicken your collagen, which results in a younger looking complexion. Collagen is aprotein in your skin that’s abundant when you’re a child and makes skin appear taut and smooth. Collagen production declines as we age, resulting in looser, uneven skin.
Our sculptura Skin Clinic uses the newest form of diamond tip technology on our Microdermabrasion procedure which provides comfortable exfoliation by gently and safely removing the top layer of dead skin. This skin-polishing procedure can brighten dull, lifeless skin by improving irregularities such as: uneven skin tone, blemishes, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and razor bumps.
Microdermabrasion smoothes fine lines, wrinkles and improves circulation. This exfoliation process can also eradicate the appearance of plugged or enlarged pores. After a thorough cleanse, the technician will proceed with the Microdermabrasion. Once completed, extractions maybe performed if necessary, followed by the finishing products, such as, hydration and sun protection. This process is non-surgical and provides improvement with little to no downtime. A patient can receive a microdermabrasion every four weeks.
This unique treatment combines the best features of both the Micropeel and the Microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion Plus provides the most benefits without any necessary downtime. We start this procedure with manual exfoliation through dermablading; then we apply a chemical exfoliation to the skin. Once these steps have been completed, Microdermabrasion is done, providing further exfoliation, smoothing and refining of the skin. After extractions, cryotherapy may be performed to add additional exfoliation and antibacterial properties to the skin. Finally, we finish the treatment with proper topical hydrating products and sun protection. Patients will see dramatic improvement in tone, texture and clarity in their skin.
