The Master Key of Homoeopathy PQRS symptoms
This is my pleasure that I got opportunity to write for vital informer. So many senior and experienced homoeopath shared their view through this well know homoeopathic magazine. Let’s start today discussion after going to so many seminars, teachers, colleagues and after so many courses, what I found most useful in daily practice is to prescribe on PQRS symptoms. PQRS stand for peculiar, quick, rare and strange as mentioned in aphorism 153 of Organon of medicine.
So many doctors after a long experience they still discussed what to pick and what not to pick. But they still asking this question after such a vast and long clinical experience. The reason is very simple they probably do not understood the Organon of medicine . They definitely read that book so many times but have not understood it properly. Understanding is like something that becomes a part of our life. I firmly believe that if you prescribe on PQRS symptoms then definitely you will get best results. We must pay gratitude to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann that he blessed us with such a great, holistic healing science. In aphorism 153 as In this search for a homoeopathic specific remedy, that is to say, in this comparison of collective symptoms of the natural disease with the list of symptoms of known medicines, in order to find among these an artificial morbific agents corresponding by similarity to the disease to be cured, the more striking, singular, uncommon and peculiar (characteristic) signs and symptoms of case of disease are chiefly and most solely to be kept in view; for it is more particularly these that very similar ones in the list of symptoms of the selected medicine must correspond to, in order to constitute it the most suitable for effecting the cure. Let’s discuss a case, there was a patient of age 32 years, male presented with complaints of burning urination more during and after urination since may 2016. Burning in rectum which aggravated on sitting since may 2016. Burning in chest after eating. There was an eruption on glance penis. In past history there was recurrent UTI and severe prostatic inflammation PSA raised above 45 ng/ml. Thermally he was chilly patient. In mental symptoms he felt anxious if some one got ill in family, wondering how Ihe would deal. He lives in Delhi with his wife but all the time he misses his home and parents. Doing same job since last 8 years as he feels secure here. He was good in studies and attached to his mother, used to share everything with her. Wept and got emotional on hearing suffering of others. Wife view about him non expressive, introverted person. If anybody in family got ill he would get worried and immediately go to doctor and request him to do all test as possible to find out disease. He himself forced to a doctor three month ago for endoscopy for burning in chest which was not so much severe. Since starting after marriage when he returned from home to Delhi he became disappointed. My mother in law told me now he improved when he was engineering student used to procrastinate and even sometime hide when he was asked to leave for hostel. Case was analyzed and medicine was prescribed on following PQRS symptoms. Here we need a remedy who is homesick, mentally insecure, can produce prostatic inflammation and burning in general. These symptoms are peculiar and rare because for a engineering student leaving home is not much difficult and in such a young age severe prostatic inflammation is also very uncommon. Rubric considered 1.Prostate gland – Inflammation. 2. Mind Insecurity, mental. 3. Mind Homesickness. Patient was prescribed with Capsicum annum 200 single dose and followed by sac lac 30, he responded very well. In one month follow up he beautifully improved burning got batter and eruption on penis disappeared. In next follow up burning also improved completely and wife informed that mentally also he is better now.
