Happiness is something which makes you laugh and cry! It is that factor of the human mind, body and soul which showcases the sublime coordination and balance that a human physiological system can obtain under a certain state of environment.
Medical science has gone, over the ages, several leaps and bounds to establish the relationship between the physical and mental well being of a woman to the level of happiness she dwells in. Some, in the recent past have come to the conclusion that there is a gene which predicts happiness in women: a gene which is associated with a natural state of induced happiness. This possibly is true because the state of happiness is basically triggered by a rush of naturally produced hormones and chemical in our system. However, what causes these hormones to take charge and release the “happiness syndromes” is probably what meets the eye. Happiness, be it a result of a chemical reaction, the catalyst which brings about happiness altogether need not be a matter of scientific speculation. What, however, needs to be significantly recognised is the importance of the state of happiness for a woman considering the number of roles she plays in her life and in particular, her role as a mother!
It is a medically proven and universally accepted fact that happy, healthy mothers bring into being happy, healthy babies. Stress, which here is the opposite of happiness has been known to weigh down the health status of a woman pretty extensively. Stress, during pregnancy can also result directly in low birth weight in the offspring! It has also been seen that an unhappy mother will most often than not, give birth to babies challenged by high risk pre and post natal irregularities, dysfunctions and illnesses! Cortisol- the stress hormone responsible for the body’s ‘fight or flight’ response, present in the mother’s body during pregnancy are associated with babies who cry more and sleep less after birth. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that to have a mother give birth to perfectly normal and healthy babies, the stress levels that the mother might go through before the birth of her child, has to be significantly controlled and kept at the minimum.
It is often said that ‘there is only one way through to the state of happiness’ even though there are a number of modes to get there. Today, however, there definitely are some conducive mediums and expressly spelled out modules to get about the business of “being happy”! To achieve the absolute state of well being a woman needs to:
Focus on herself: Womenfolk are the drivers of every household. It is them who shoulder the responsibility of the well being of the entire family. Therefore, to find a sizable amount of time to give to her own personal upkeep and care would definitely be beneficial to her own health quotient.
Approach activity and exercise: A little bit of huffing and puffing, brisk walking, joy jumping, pulling and pushing would really do all women a world of good. A little indulgence in physical activity and exercise is actually essential for expecting mothers as it is supposed to ensure a slightly easier time during childbirth and a natural surge in the physical fitness of the mother.
Indulge in reading or television: Giving oneself some precious little hours of reading or watching television can also add to the joy factor of all women, provided the books they pick up and the television channels they tune into contribute to the larger picture of a positive outlook and delight!
Listen to music: Listening to music is one of the oldest forms of stress busters known to man. Music is known for its soothing and rejuvenating dexterity. It is time tested module used to generate an aura of peace, serenity, togetherness and joy. Listening to music surely contributes to one’s quota of pure, simple joy.
Eat healthy: Food lies at the centre of our existence. All living creatures need the vital element they derive from food to survive. However the happiness that can be derived from food is seldom associated with the quantity of food but it rather rests on the quality: a balanced meal is what can generate the desired ratio of happiness.
Since, it is generally the mother or a wife or even an aunt or a sister who respond to most of the SOS calls within a household, everywhere, don’t you think they deserve something great in return? Therefore, the next time they’re around why don’t you hand them over a bag full of happiness. For once, that could be something they’d use!
