With the incoming summer, sun spots, tanning and pigmentation become a huge concern. Don’t let the sun stop you from stepping out, try these simple home remedies to get rid of those sun spots!

  • Lemon

A definite saviour, lemon has natural bleaching properties that reduce sun spots and give you a radiant look.

Take some cotton and apply lemon juice on the affected area and leave it on for about 20 minutes before you wash it off. 2-3 days a week you can make a lemon scrub by adding sugar to the juice.

  • Castor oil

Apply a few drops of castor oil on the affected area and let it sit for an hour or two. This oil works deep into the skin, lightens those spots and gives you an even skin tone.

  • Aloe vera

A natural skin healing agent, aloe repairs damaged areas and lightens spots and blemishes. Extract some fresh gel from the aloe leaves, apply on the affected area and leave it on for an hour.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV works wonders on the skin and is a solution for many skin problems like sunspots. A spoon of the vinegar with a spoon of water and honey every day for 10 minutes will do the trick.

  • Buttermilk

It soothes the skin and works like a bleaching agent on the sun spots. Apply some buttermilk on the affected area with the help of a cotton ball and leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

  • Gram flour/Besan

A besan face pack not only reduce sun spots but brightens the skin as well. Make a paste using 2 spoons of besan, a little turmeric powder, lemon juice and milk. Leave this pack on for half an hour before rinsing off.
