Almonds are a good source of energy and nutrients. Almonds are a good snack for kids and for adults to watch out their weight. Almonds consists of Proteins, magnesium, carbohydrates, fat and more due to which almonds are a part of breakfast in many Indian houses. Almond can be eaten roasted or raw. 1. Gastrointestinal Problems:
Almonds are known for rich fiber content present in them eating a lot of almonds leads to bloating of stomach and constipation. If your body is not used to excess amount of fiber avoid more almonds as it can lead to stomach upset. Nuts are hard to digest, it leads to more stress on the tummy. One should control the intake of almond if he/she has a weak digestive system. One way to treat this is by drinking lots of water.
2. Medication Interactions:
Almonds are rich in manganese. If you are on a manganese rich diet and you eat almonds it may lead to drug interactions. High amount of manganese present in the body collaborates with antibiotics, laxatives and certain blood pressure medications. In your daily diet one requires only 1.3 to 2.3 mg of manganese.

Eating too many almonds increases toxic level in the body which is a major side effect. Some almonds which are bitter in taste contain hydro cyanic acid which leads to breathing problem, slowing of nervous system that can also be dangerous.
6. Allergic Reactions:
.Rarely some people have allergic reactions to almonds, it is a rare side effect. The symptoms of allergic reactions are difficulty in breathing and rashes.
7. Presence Of Bacteria:
Almonds are inclined to bacterial growth. But being a part of a nut family the side effect is not specific. It depends on where the almonds are grown because it might bind to bacterial growth, which leads to health problems if eaten without cleaning.
