Oral Cancer dies…. Patient Survives
Recently, I had a patient walking in my consultation with his wife and twin daughters. His face looked familiar but could not fix where i had seen him......and then he removed his file which was of a hospital where i used to operate in 2008. His last follow up was in 2013 with me.
He thanked me profusely for his beautiful life and that he became a father in 2014.
He was an oral cancer patient.. Specifically ...tongue cancer.
All it took to defeat cancer and victoriously survive is
Being aware about the alarming signs of cancer- early detection
Consult an expert – leading to a prompt diagnosis
Act quickly- get operated at the earliest
And the journey of the most dreaded disease is all over!!!!
It’s for moments like this, that we live. The spring in the step every morning, when I enter the operation room ....the temple of cure......and the enthusiasm towards every patient that I come across, is to experience this again and again.
