Homoeopathy is just another conventional natural treatment for Allergies. It is one of the more moderate forms of treatment - that is most likely to relieve allergy-related health issues or symptoms, sensitivities and food intolerances.

Homoeopathy is based on the idea that like treats like; homoeopaths generally use substances that contain a minute amount of content which would usually cause a condition, on the idea that it will, in fact, stimulate the body’s immune system to treat the illness or symptom.

If you want to try homoeopathic treatments, you best consult with a qualified homoeopath, to match a treatment that suits your personality, individual constitution and symptoms.

When you are suffering from food allergies, sometimes attempting something different is better than being in pain. Alternative Allergy Treatments can provide relief if not kill allergy-like symptoms. Even though it is likely that symptoms get worse in the beginning when starting treatment, which, according to homoeopathic philosophy, is a desired 'crisis' on the healing path - showing that the remedies work. Nevertheless, homoeopathy appears to have no side-effects whatsoever.

What are food allergies?

A food allergy is an immune system response to a food that the human body has falsely identified as a harmful substance. Once the immune system concludes that a particular is harmful to the body, it creates specific antibodies to defy the perceived enemy. Because of perceived invasion, the immune system releases massive amounts of chemicals, including histamine, to protect the body.

Many people are genetically disposed to allergies, which is called atopy. The most common allergens are house dust mites, pollen from trees and grasses, cats, dogs, milk and eggs. In mild cases of allergies, there may be slight itchiness or reddening of the affected area. In serious cases, anaphylactic shock can occur, which causes low blood pressure, constriction of breathing and sometimes even death.

A true food allergy differs from food sensitivity or intolerance. Homoeopathic treatment can help strengthen the immune system. After homoeopathic treatment, if there is an accidental exposure, the chances of a severe reaction are reduced.
