2. Coconut Oil
Hair oil, especially coconut oil has always been one of the best solutions in tackling all the issues with your hair. It is also one of the remedies that prevent greying of hair. According to Ayurveda, excess pitta dosha or high body heat leads to greying hair. Coconut oil is one of the best sources for pacifying pitta dosha and prevents your hair from losing its color and strength.
Since coconut is a rich source of antioxidants and contain several nutrients, including coconut oil and coconut milk in your diet provides nourishment to your dry, and your hair turns black.
Massaging your hair using coconut oil and letting it sit for 30 minutes helps in promoting hair pigmentation.
3. Amla Juice
Amla(Indian Gooseberry): consuming the fruit or application of amla juice on the scalp can help a great deal. Applying a combination of amla with coconut oil, almond oil or lemon juice on the scalp regularly reduces white hair and promotes healthy hair growth.
4. Curry leaves
Curry leaves contain several powerful antioxidants like vitamin A, C, E, minerals such as iron, phosphorus, calcium, copper, and magnesium. Eating these dark green leaves prevent your hair from getting grey. Not only this, but these leaves also increase the lustre of your hair and makes your hair soft and silky.
Curry leaves with coconut oil help in increasing hair pigmentation. To prepare this mixture, boil the leaves in coconut oil and strain the content. Massage this oil on the scalp twice a week for about an hour.
Adding dried or fresh curry leaves in your diet help in regulating the blood sugar levels in your body and also leads to the reduction of grey hair.
5. Vitamin B12 and iron supplements
If you notice that the number of grey hair is increasing, it is because of the deficiency of vitamin B12, which can result in greying of hair. Usually, this vitamin is present in a natural form in various foods like fish, meat, eggs, milk, and other dairy products. You might be deficient of vitamin B12 if you are a vegetarian.
6. Henna Powder
Henna powder (Mehendi) is the best natural hair colorant that works wonders not just by darkening the strands but also by strengthening and conditioning the hair. Henna powder can be directly applied as a ground paste or after boiling with oil or mixing with black coffee.
