Home Remedies for Dense Hair
Hair thinning and breakage is a problem amongst many. There could be a number of reasons behind this- excessive exposure to heat, pollution, lack of a proper hair care routine, hormonal issues, etc.
Here are some easy remedies for stronger, denser and voluminous hair:
- Aloe vera
Aloe gel has many nutrients that help strengthen your hair follicles which improves your density. This gel also moisturises your hair and gives it a beautiful, shiny finish. Just apply some fresh aloe vera gel on your scalp and massage it for a while. Leave this on for an hour before your wash it off.
Commonly called as methi seeds, fenugreek paste works well as it reduced hair fall and increases density. Soak some methi seeds overnight and grind to make them into a paste next morning. Apply this paste on your roots and leave it on for an hour before you rinse. The antioxidants present in these seeds strengthen your follicles by fighting free radicals that weaken them.
Make a good hair pack using henna for softer, luxurious and voluminous hair. You’ll need a cup of henna powder, an egg, yogurt, some lemon juice and tea water. Let this mixture set on your scalp for a while and then wash off.
- Oil massage
Using coconut or olive oil and regularly massage your hair and scalp is definitely beneficial. This massage strengthens your roots, improves blood circulation and improves your hair density.
- Vitamin C
Opt for natural sources of vitamin C intake like kiwi, lemon and oranges to strengthen your hair and increase volume.
A stressful lifestyle is one important factor that contributes to hair fall and thinning. Take some time to de-stress by practicing some meditation or yoga every day to help relax your mind.
Onions help improve hair texture, prevent hair loss and increase density. Prepare a mixture with some onion juice extract, yoghurt and honey. Apply this paste onto your scalp an hour before hair wash.
