Recipe For Delicious Bhaji Burger
Here are a few steps to make a healthy Bhaji burger:
Step 1: To begin with making a burger, mix all the ingredients in a bowl like 400g of lamb mince, 2 tbsp of tandoori paste, 1 tsp of cumin seeds with some salt according to your taste & crush them together with your fingers. Shape it into 3 patties & keep it in the refrigerator.
Step 2: For making a raita to serve with the burger, grind half of the cucumber, & squeeze out its liquid. Put it in a bowl, with 150g of pot plain yogurt, ½ small pack chopped mint leaves & some salt. Blend & chill.
Step 3: For making the bhaji, tip 100g of plain flour, 1 tbsp of garam masala, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 3 tbsp sunflower oil in a bowl with a salt of your taste. Gradually add 200ml cold water to make a thick batter and then blend in one onion.
Step 4: Heat up the oil in a large frying pan. Put in the batter in batches so you have 3 burger-sized bhajis. Sizzle for 3 minutes until crispy on one side, then flip and cook on the opposite side until cooked through. Keep warm.
Step 5: Grill or pan-fry the burgers as per your preference. Put a few lettuce leaves & a burger on every bun & top with some raita, a bhaji & thinly sliced red onion. Also serve mango chutney with it.
