Homoeopathy is a medical system which was created by Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. The idea behind homoeopathy was on the doctrine of likes cures like i.e. if a substance causes the signs of a disease in a healthy person would cure similar symptoms in sick people.

Homoeopathy is believed to be a practice which claimed to be both scientific and factual but doesn’t go with the scientific methods. The procedure is believed to be non-effective in terms of treatment. Instead, it seems to be as natural healing that doesn’t have any positive effects itself. It is compared to be no more effective than a placebo, an inert medicine which is designed to have no therapeutic value.

The practitioners of homoeopathy create medicines with a small number of natural substances, like plants, herbs, minerals etc. For example, red onion is used in homoeopathic treatments for someone who has allergies. Herbs like arnica are used for treating osteoarthritis, sore throat, surgery and other conditions. They believe it to be more productive and stimulating in the healing process.

Homoeopathic doctors lower the amount the natural ingredients by adding water or alcohol. Then, for the next process which is called potentization, they shake the whole mixture. This step is considered necessary as the practitioners believed that it transfers the healing essence.

Role of Teeth and Gums in our Body

The mouth and teeth play a vital role in the functioning of food intake and its digestion. The structure of the teeth is divided into two parts:

  1. Crown, above the gum line

  2. Root, below the gum line

There is white enamel, which is the hardest substance of our body. There is a hard, light yellow porous of tissue dentin under the enamel, which has the pulp chamber. The central or pulp chamber contains blood vessels, nerves and connecting tissues and enters here through the root canal. The root canal is also surrounded by dentin (dentin is covered by cementum in the root)

The gums are the soft tissue lining of the mouth that acts as sealing to our teeth. The gums are tightly bound within the underlying bone. Due to this close bond, we get less friction of food that we swallow.

Common Causes of Toothache

Tooth care is an essential task for us to be healthy and hygienic. Taking its proper care means maintaining the overall wellness of our body. If not treated properly, it may result in a sinus infection, which can worsen the suffering.

Dental decay or cavity is the most common problems that a person can have. The listed points are some of the most common causes of tooth infection:

  • Poor oral hygiene creates regular dental issues that may broaden the affected area into a more prominent infection.

  • Eating sticky foods like caramel, sugary items, raisins, candies cause the cavity more as the food particles get stuck to our teeth and could not be removed until brushing is done.

  • Plaque formation is also one of the factors that lead to tooth and gum problems. It occurs when bacteria, acid and food particles all mix up in our mouth. The acid is so dangerous that it can cause holes in the enamel of ou teeth.

  • Dry mouth, without the saliva, builds up the plaque more quickly as the saliva wash plaque and somehow controls the teeth to be decayed.

  • Some of the medicinal treatments can also cause tooth decay by stimulating acid contents from the stomach to the mouth. When someone has frequent vomiting, the acid flows back into the mouth and thus, the chances of toothache infection increases.
