10 Ayurvedic Tips to Get Clean & Clear Skin
A picture perfect skin is we all desire. Some of us are gifted with a clear skin while some of us suffer from pimples and other skin problems. Many of us swear by a skin beauty ritual which is responsible for the health of our skin. However, many of the products we use can be the reason of the unexplained pimples and other skin allergies.

Here are 10 Ayurvedic tips to get a clear & clean skin.
Packed with citrus, lemon contains many skin benefits. It not only acts as a natural bleacher, but also removes tan, reduces blemishes, and gives your skin instant brightness. Squeeze half lemon and apply the juice on the skin. You can also mix one tablespoon of honey in it to make it extra effective. Allow it to sit on the skin for a minimum of 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water afterward and notice instant results.
Note: Avoid this remedy in case of pimples.
Turmeric is an extremely beneficial remedy and goes with every skin type. It helps in fading the scars, brightening the skin, and helps in alleviating other skin allergies. In order to gain skin benefits from turmeric, you can mix 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder with pineapple juice.
Form a paste like consistency and apply it on your face & neck. Allow it to dry then wash off with lukewarm water. Follow this procedure 2-3 times a week to get the best results.
Another great ingredient to attain spotless skin is aloe vera. It helps in soothing the skin and providing cooling effect due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Cut an aloe leaf in half and extract the gel from it. Apply it on your face with the help of a cotton ball and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water and moisturize as usual.
Honey acts as a natural moisturizer and nourishes your skin deeply. You can either apply honey alone or mix with lemon juice. You can also mix honey in other face packs to make them more nourishing and effective.
Alternatively, you can mix honey and milk in equal proportions and apply it on the face. Let it dry naturally. Wash off with cold water and apply a good moisturizer.
Baking soda not only helps in terminating dry skin but also makes your skin clear and supple. Wash off your face thoroughly and apply baking soda on the skin. Let it sit for 3 minutes. Do not rub it in the face. Wash off after 3 minutes and notice visible results within one use.
A red rose is great for skin as it provides the natural glow. You can either use rose water to attain glowy skin or prepare a face mask with rose water. Take a red rose and pluck all the petals. Put it in a grinder and add 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Blend it well and apply it on the face. Leave it in for 30 minutes and wash off with cold water afterward.
Like lemon, potato also helps in brightening your skin instantly. You can either slice up a potato and rub it on the skin or soak the slices in the water for 15 minutes. Apply this water on your neck and face. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water afterward. Moisturize as usual and notice visible results.
Olive oil is beneficial for the entire body. It not only helps in nourishing your skin, but also moisturizes your hair, and offer great health benefits when included in the diet. You can apply olive oil directly to the skin and massage gently for a couple of minutes. You either do this procedure before sleeping and wash off in the morning or wash off after a few minutes.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains alpha hydroxy acids which cull the dead skin from the face and makes it clearer & spotless. Dab a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply it on the age areas. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash with cold water.
Tomato is extremely beneficial for skin especially for gaining instant results. Cut a tomato in half and gently apply it on the face. You can also squeeze out the pulp of the tomato and massage it on the face for 15 minutes. Leave it on for another 2 minutes and wash off afterward.
Repeat this procedure twice a week to gain better results.
